Our Expertise

Broad Approach to Operations

In a startup company, the operations manager requires a wide range of skills and knowledge covering R&D, engineering, NPI, purchasing, production, QA, project management, and strategic planning.

The manager must support the company’s ongoing daily operations (R&D and production) and plan the supply chain for the long term.

We have ongoing relationships with suppliers and vendors enabling us to provide fast and effective execution for parts purchasing and production.

We are experienced in combining decision making in uncertain conditions while providing clear instructions to suppliers and subcontractors and updating the production file.

Transfer to Production

NPI (New Product Introduction)

New Product Introduction is the process of adapting a product prototype so that it is suitable for the mass production process.

This includes finding the best production method for each part (such as high-pressure plastic parts injection, die casting), updating the part’s design to fit the technology, simplifying the assembly process, defining the incoming and inline inspection, and developing the final test process.

Performing all these activities will allow a lower cost production, higher production yield, and improved reliability of the product.

Design to Cost

In the past, the development process did not take the cost of the product into consideration. The goal was to enable rapid go-to-market at the expense of a very high product cost. The concept was that after gaining market share the company would then be able to easily reduce the product cost.

Obviously, this concept didn’t work since approximately 70% of the product cost is determined during the design phase.

Design to Cost, is an integral part of the product design process which focuses on controlling the cost of the product as early on in the product life-cycle as possible. Design to Cost considers aspects such as labor, assembly time, and handling as well as careful consideration of materials and manufacturing methods with the aim of designing in cost from the very outset of a product.

Establishment of New Production Line (worldwide)

Many companies manufacture their products using a subcontractor. Production with a subcontractor is a strategic partnership. Many efforts and resources are invested in building the relationship and in building the production line. Therefore, it usually becomes a long-term partnership.

Each product has its own technical complexity and uniqueness that has to be taken into consideration.

Furthermore, each company has different marketing and operational needs.

Understanding all the requirements and knowing the capabilities and the advantages of the subcontractors allows us to make the best match between the company and the subcontractor.
